World-wide turnkey cable supplier seeks Project Engineers

Due to a steady increase in our work load the Subsea Land Systems Business Group (SLS) are searching for Engineers to join our Umbilical & DEH team. As a Project Engineer with Nexans you will get the opportunity to work closely with major operators, installation agencies, and to follow the life of our products from inception to installation. We are looking for highly motivated Engineers who are interested in shaping the future of the Umbilical and DEH business.

You will be working as a key member of a project team, responsible for design of the umbilical components. The interface work with our clients and other partners is also part of the job. In addition, you will get the opportunity to participate in research and development of new technologies, tender work, and product improvements and standardization.

Responsibilities and tasks

• Participate in project teams
• Design, manufacturing, testing and delivery of accessories to Umbilical & DEH designs
• Preparation and verification of drawings and documentation
• Research and development of new technologies
• Follow up project purchases
• Follow up manufacturing / assembly / testing of the umbilical & DEH systems
• Tender work
• Product improvements and standardization

What we are looking for

• Education: Mechanical Bachelor or Master’s degree with specialization in use of Inventor
• Experience: 3-5 years’ experience, preferably with background from the Oil & Gas or subsea business.
• Good communication and co-operation skills, “team worker”
• Fluent Norwegian and English, verbal and written
• High sense of quality and on time performance
• Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
• Ability to adapt to change
• Ability to travel and follow up projects internationally
