Project Category Manager/Project Purchasing Manager

Do you have experience in Project Category/Project Purchasing activities?

We are looking for a motivated Project Category Manager/Project Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Throughout the lifetime of the Project(s), the Category Project Manager/Project Purchasing Manager is responsible for all the purchasing activities relevant to his/her Project(s) in close cooperation with the Project Category Managers and the Project Team(s)- as an example it can be orders for electrical material, mechanical accessories, equipment’s, installation services, manpower, onsite support, offshore services.
  • Establish and monitor all the purchasing required for the Project using the Project Procurement plan together with the Engineers, Planner, and Purchasing Category Managers involved
  • In charge of the quotation process to the suppliers based on the technical specifications and requisitions prepared by the Project Team
  • Negotiate with suppliers and establish the most appropriate agreements (based on our own Client’s expectations for the Turnkey projects, or on Nexans Standards in other cases) with support from the necessary legal entities
  • Place POs using ERP tool (SAP, Ariba); Follow up invoicing and ensure payments to the suppliers as per the agreements
  • Responsible for all suppliers outside of the ones under Category Manager’s responsibility; Ensure that suppliers are approved, and that all necessary information is registered in supplier database; Ensure high quality and efficient project execution by close follow up of suppliers, contracts and deliveries;

Your qualifications:

  • Fluent in English
  • 5 years minimum of experience in Purchasing activities / Category Management / Supply Chain with proven records of fruitful negotiations or commercial achievements
  • Strong commercial & Proactive mindset
  • Good knowledge of SAP
  • Experience in similar domain related to cables, marine installation, site activities, or turnkey projects will be appreciated
