Production Manager - Yara Porsgrunn

About the Unit

Yara Porsgrunn is a major production site for Yara International ASA. The plant manufactures more than three million tons of fertilizer yearly in addition to various products for industrial applications. The plant has five operational areas; Ammonia, Nitric Acid, NPK , Calcium Nitrate and Material Handling.

Yara Porsgrunn has an annual turnover exceeding 8 billion NOK.

The NPK 3/4 area produces a wide range og NPK grades, developed to meet the needs of crop fertilization under various climates and soil conditions. The NPK 3/4 plants is the worlds largest NPK fertilizer plant producing more than 2,2 million tons of compound NPK annually.

We are looking for a person who want to develop our organization, improve our work processes, improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of our assets.

You will report to the Plant Manager and become part of the management team.

Responsibilites

  • Lead and develop the NPK 3/4 area
  • Drive continuously improvements within HESQ and operational standardsby utilizing our Yara Productivity System
  • Achieve operational and financial objectives in compliance with Yara safety, ethical, environmental and quality standards
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Set operational priorities and optimize resources to improve production and reliability
  • Coach individuals, develop the organization and drive change processes

Profile

  • MSc in Process, Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant subject
  • Min 5 years of experience from a production environment
  • Motivated to lead, foster teamwork and coach employees
  • Strong communication skills and hands on approach
  • Fluent in English and one Scandinavian language
