An exciting opportunity has arisen as Product Manager, reporting to the director of Switchgear and Energy Storage in the Integration & Energy division in Kongsberg Maritime. As the Product Manager, you are at the front row of the green shift within the energy division in Kongsberg Maritime. You will be part of the Switchgear and Energy Storage leadership team and will take part in forming our strategy. You will be responsible for the development and product lifecycle for our Switchgear product line and lead a team of experienced and motivated engineers in the areas of electrical, mechanical and application design. The Switchgear team has an end-to-end responsibility from sales to service and the product management function is vital to enable the right focus throughout the complete product life cycle. The product range includes low and high voltage AC switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the product team.
• Develop new and maintain existing Switchgear solutions according to agreed budget.
• Be responsible for execution of development projects.
• Be responsible for sales support.
• Be responsible for product lifecycle.
• Identify potential project risks, assessing their impact, and reach out to necessary stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
• Be a part of the Switchgear and Energy storage leadership team.
  
  

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field.
• Documented experience from people leadership as line manager, project manager or team leader.
• Experience from managing product or R&D projects.
• Good knowledge about AC Switchgear in marine, offshore or land-based industry.
• Good knowledge about relevant standards and class rules.
