Postdoctoral Fellow
Offentlig forvaltning
Two open postdoctoral positions (3 years) in the Department of Cancer Immunology, Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital and the University of Oslo for development of the next generation T-cell based cancer immunotherapies
The Department of Cancer Immunology at the Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital:
The Olweus group (https://www.ous-research.no/olweus/) offers a dynamic and stimulating scientific environment in a young, enthusiastic and motivated team of biologists and MDs. Projects in the group span from basic and translational immunology to development of a pipeline of cell therapies exploiting T cells genetically engineered to express therapeutic T-cell receptors. The first concepts have entered into clinical development, building on a long tradition of investigator-initiated trials at OUH.
The Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital (OUH), Oslo, Norway (http://ous-research.no/institute/) hosts core facilities for multiparameter flow cytometry, next generation sequencing, imaging and bioinformatics, and also hosts a Department for Comparative Medicine. The Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) of OUH Radiumhospitalet is one of the largest Cancer Centers in Europe with its own Phase I/II clinical trial unit and a large academic facility for good manufacturing practices (GMP) production of cells for immunotherapy, housing a newly established Center for Advanced Cell and Gene Therapy (ACT). These units are integrated with the Department of Cancer Immunology (https://ous-research.no/immunology/) and clinical departments, giving OUH a competitive edge in bringing “in-house” discoveries to early clinical trials.
Oslo University Hospital is a workplace with great diversity. We believe this is absolutely crucial to solving the tasks required of us. We therefore want this diversity to be reflected among the applicants for our positions and encourage everyone to apply regardless of who you are and what background you have.
