A postdoctoral position in register-based diabetes epidemiology, financed by South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst) is available for 2 years. The postdoctoral fellow will be employed at the Department of Endocrinology, Morbid Obesity and Preventive Medicine at Oslo University Hospital (OUH), and work in close collaboration with the Norwegian Institute of Public Health

Kvalifikasjoner:

  • Applicants must hold a doctoral degree (PhD) in medicine, biology, statistics, or other relevant field, and be eligible for a postdoc position at Oslo University Hospital. We seek a highly motivated candidate who can work independently as well as in a team. The applicant must be fluent in written and spoken English. 
  • Preferable skills:
    Applicants should preferably have experience in register-based research, including interpretation of medical codes as well as management, linkage, and analysis of large register-based data set. Clinical experience with diabetes is also an advantage. The successful candidate should preferably be familiar with epidemiological and biostatistical methods, although there is existing expertise in the project.
