About the position
A 3-year full time PhD position is available in the Laboratory of Adaptive Immunity and Homeostasis, headed Jan Terje Andersen, Department of Immunology at Oslo University Hospital (OUH), Rikshospitalet.

The successful candidate will join a highly integrated and motivated team with diverse skills and expertise across molecular biology and immunology. We seek a motivated, creative and energetic candidate that will take active part in the research cooperation focusing on protein design and infections diseases. 

The position relates to a project aiming at translating cutting-edge research into biomedical concepts focusing on tailored protein design for several diseases, including infections and cancer. Research will be done by combining structural biology with biochemical and cellular assays as well as studies in state-of-the-art transgenic mice. The project relies on collaboration with leading international laboratories.

Kvalifikasjoner:

• The candidate must have an MSc degree
• Highly motivated and structured candidate with background in molecular biology or immunology
• Proven knowledge in molecular techniques such as vector design, production and purification of recombinant proteins and in vitro biochemical and cellular assays
• Knowledge in cellular biology and in vivo studies are advantageous
• Candidates must have strong proficiency in verbal and written English
• It will be an advantage if the applicant can start as soon as possible
