The Hybrid Technology Hub Centre of Excellence at Oslo University Hospital and the University of Oslo, Norway (https://www.med.uio.no/hth/english/) is inviting applications for a three‑year PhD position.
The recruited candidate will take part in an international TRANSCAN‑3 research project that aims to advance personalized cancer therapies by integrating vascular and immune components into a tumor‑on‑chip model. TRANSCAN‑3 is an ERA‑NET (European Research Area network) initiative that coordinates national and regional cancer research programmes across Europe to support translational cancer research (https://transcan.eu).
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Professor Stefan Krauss and will be embedded in an interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with researchers at the CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine and the University of Tübingen.

Kvalifikasjoner:
- Master’s degree in Biology or Biotechnology.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant post-graduation, hands-on laboratory experience.
- Proven experience in advanced mammalian cell culture, including 3D models.
- Demonstrated expertise with advanced in vitro models, including organ-on-chip systems.
- Experience with vascularization models.
- Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques, including RT-qPCR, ELISA, immunocytochemistry, and flow cytometry.
- Experience in sample preparation for imaging, including cryosectioning and immunofluorescence staining.
- Hands-on experience with advanced microscopy techniques.
- Strong skills in image analysis software and methodologies.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.
