Operations Director - JCMC

JOTUN COSCO Marine Coatings (JCMC), a joint venture company between COSCO International Holding Ltd. and Jotun A/S, etablished in Hongkong in 2005. JCMC Qingdao factory opened in 2013, with annual production capacity of 50 million liter for Marine coatings products. This position will be based at our factory in Qingdao, beautiful coastal city in northern China, and report to General Manager of JCMC.
Being member of JCMC management team, the incumbent will be responsible for managing daily operations in Qingdao factory in a safe and efficient manner to achieve strategic business target.
- Plan, lead and manage daily activities of Operations Function in Qingdao plant of JCMC by guiding, conducting and tracking all functional programs in Operations, to achieve strategic business target of JCMC, Jotun China and Jotun global as well.
- Manufacture various paint products efficiently and strictly abide by specification and in line with planned quantity and timetable.
- Responsible for HSEQ with area of responsibility in Jotun’s HSEQ Management system, and ensure operations activities are compliant with local laws and regulations.
- Execute Group HSEQ targets through achieving standards including but not limited to 0 lost time accident, 0 fires and 0 spillage above 50kgs by coaching, maintaining and continuous improvements, etc.
- Build up a competent operations team by selecting, coaching and counselling key targeted employees so as to build up team of Best in Class of Jotun Global.
- Manage manufacturing and logistic cost and Operations functional expenses in an efficient manner and complying with JCMC company budget to guarantee Jotun China strategic target’s achievement.
- Initiate, implement and track JCMC OTIF target in order to supply qualified products to meet customers’ expectation.
- As per the requirement of JOS, the holder of this position is defined as CI Team Leader.
- Maintain the blackbelt level for plant maintenance.
- 7 - 9 Years Relevant Experience.
- Holds a Bachelor / Master's degree in any relevant field.
- Project Management Experience.
- Manufacturing Knowledge.
- International Experience (Preferable).
- Supply Chain Knowledge (Preferable).
- Lean Manufacturing (Preferable).
- Vision & Strategy: develops an ambitious but realistic business vision and translates it into a workable strategy.
- People Management: provides team with a clear sense of direction, inspires and coordinates others and keeps them focused on objectives.
