The Procurement department is progressing on a journey towards becoming a strong integrated partner to the business and we are focusing on further developing and creating sustainable solutions for our customers, stakeholders and for Procurement in general. With a broad exposure to the whole organization, you will, have the opportunity to impact the tasks and outcome, in close collaboration with the rest of the organization and team.

We are looking for an intern with a passion and an interest in Procurement and Supply Chain.  We are currently offering an internship and a chance to join our procurement team in Copenhagen. We will take you onboard an exciting journey of challenging projects that without doubt will give you an in-depth, and hands-on experience in the interesting field of Procurement.

Your main tasks are, but not limited to:

• Spend and supplier analysis
• Change management activities
• Business improvement projects
• Main driver of identified project according to our 7-step procurement process
• Sustainability initiatives
• Ad hoc administrative tasks

Your profile

You are a student from Copenhagen Business School’s Bachelor of Science program in International Shipping and Trade and ready for an internship in September 2023.

You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You can solve problems individually and, in a team, and you are able to respond to shifting priorities in a dynamic setting. In addition, you bring a healthy sense of humour to your work even when the pressure is on.  Furthermore you should have good data discipline and a good understanding of the office package, preferably profound knowledge of Excel and Power Point

Finally, you must have a strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your learning.

Who are we?

DFDS is northern Europe’s largest shipping and logistics company. We operate 30 routes with 63 freight and passenger ships and provide freight and logistics services with over 1.000 trucks across Europe with trailers, containers, and rail. We are in a green transformation process in both our ferry and Logistics division, latest shown in the collaboration with Volvo where DFDS recently placed a larger order, on electrical trucks (125).
