HR Administrator (Recruitment)

Job Summary:

Develop an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the purpose behind DNO’s HR policies and procedures and local Employment law.

Develop a good relationship with managers and employees especially Field / Production staff so as to become a point of contact on HR recruitment processes when the HR officer is not available.

To assist in the administration of recruitment, HRMS inputting / updating, as well as dealing with HR recruitment systems that are in place.

Work closely with HR colleagues in Kurdistan, the Regional Office and Corporate Office so as to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of DNO philosophy and intentions for all aspects of people management.

 

Responsibilities for:

-Creating job advertisements (EasyCruit, Mayor Office, Newspaper, Mselect, LinkedIn)

-CV screening and shortlisting

-Correspondents and official letters with Mayor offices and other entities that we deal with in regard to recruitment

-Conducting interviews

Key Responsibilities:

HR Policies & Procedures / HR Processes:

-       Become knowledgeable about and a ‘go to’ person when Production / Field managers and staff have a query on HR policies & procedures.

-       Learn all HR processes and become responsible for the administration of them within DNO Kurdistan – from recruitment to termination.

-       Assist in the recruitment and selection process – conducting shortlisting and interviews with managers when appropriate. Contributing to the selection decision.

-       Assist HR Officer with all aspects of his/her role, learning that role and developing the skills and experience to become professional.

-       Assist in maintaining accurate job descriptions

Additional:

-       It is important that the job holder has the capability and commitment to quickly gain the skills, knowledge and experience so as to provide a professional HR service

-       Gain a good understanding of the Oil & Gas Industry.

-       Maintain all personnel files

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Business related Degree
  • +3 year experience in HR roles (oil and gas experience preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluency in English language and Arabic is a plus.
  • Ability to fluently write in Kurdish and Arabic
  • Good interpersonal skills – able to gain trust and respect of all staff
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to gather, analyze and summarize HR data
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, and prioritise work requirements.
  • Knowledge of Iraq Labour Code essential 
  • Regular site visits are required
