Job Summary:
Responsibility for collection, inputting and occasional analysis of confidential staff data and personal information. Develop an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the purpose behind DNO’s HR policies and procedures.Develop a good relationship with managers and employees.As required, to assist in the administration of recruitment, performance management (PDP’s), HRMS inputting / updating, as well as dealing with HR related correspondence and data gathering.Prepare presentation material on HR topics – eg on staff turnover, training attendance, absence monitoring, recruitment progress, etc. Work closely with HR colleagues in Kurdistan, the Regional Office and Corporate Office to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of DNO philosophy and intentions for all aspects of people management.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Policies & Procedures / HR Processes:
ü Become knowledgeable about and a ‘go to’ person when managers or staff have a query on HR policies & procedures.
ü Learn all HR processes and become responsible for the administration of them within DNO Kurdistan – from recruitment to termination.
ü Prepare data in suitable format for submission to Kurdistan Management, Head Office or MNR as required.
HR System:
ü Responsible for timely and accurate HR inputs to HRMS and MNR portal.
ü Provide relevant regular and ad hoc analysis and commentary from the HR data
Additional:
ü It is important that the job holder has the capability and commitment to quickly gain the skills, knowledge and experience so as to provide a professional HR service
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Business related Degree
- +3 year experience in HR roles (oil and gas experience preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in English language and Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to fluently write in Kurdish and Arabic
- Good interpersonal skills – able to gain trust and respect of all staff
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to gather, analyze and summarize HR data
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, and prioritise work requirements.
- Knowledge of Iraq Labour Code essential
- Regular site visits are required
