Head of Operation Integration and Energy, China

With growth comes opportunities, and a new role as Head of Operation Integration and Energy China has arisen. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing the I&E Operation in China, establishing a high-performing team, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role requires a strategic approach to stakeholder management, product requirements, sourcing, supply chain, and manufacturing, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization. 

 

Kongsberg Maritime China, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kongsberg Maritime, handles sales, procurement, manufacturing, project deliveries, support, and training services. With around 550 employees, they support the broader product portfolio of Kongsberg Maritime.

Key accountabilities: 

  • Build local Energy operation in China: Be the local facilitator for building up the Energy value chain in China as part of the Energy organization and local China Management team. 

  • Build local Integration capacities and project roles in line with the Integrated Projects strategy. 

  • Project Delivery Team Management:Build and manage the Project Delivery team to successfully deliver integration and Energy scope. Cooperate with Portfolio Directors ensuring governance and customer satisfaction Contribute to goals for entire project delivery portfolio, ensuring timely and successful completion of projects. 

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships with both shipyards and shipowners, addressing their needs and concerns promptly. 

  • Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholders within the product division, setting clear requirements for product development, strategic sourcing, supply chain, and manufacturing. 

  • Continuous Improvement: Implement a continuous improvement approach to maintain competitive cost levels while ensuring the highest quality standards. 

  • Collaboration: Foster optimal collaboration with other delivery units and supporting functions to achieve seamless project execution and delivery. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in leadership within the maritime industry. 

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities. 

  • Strategic thinking with a focus on continuous improvement and cost optimization. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
