The Nordic Origination department has more than 30 employees located in Oslo, Trondheim and Stockholm and is responsible for a customer portfolio of more than 60 TWh in yearly sales and structured trading activities.

Its business activities and customer solutions are crucial for Statkraft given that most of the the company’s energy exposure is linked to the Nordic markets. Moreover, Statkraft’s new strategy implies a considerable growth of the customer business and Nordic Origination is expected to contribute by increased sales and new business ideas.  

A section within The Nordic Origination department is the “Market Access” department, currently consisting of 6 FTEs, all located in Trondheim.

 The current Head of Market Access has moved on to a new position and we are looking for a new  

Head of Market Access

The role will report to the VP Nordic Origination, based in Oslo.  However, the working place for the new Head of Market Access will be Trondheim.

 

Your role:

• Manage the Market Access Department in Statkraft with activities in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark in power, green & carbon certificates as well as natural gas
• Be part of the Nordic Origination department’s management team
• Develop solutions for providing prices of non-standard products to customers
• Develop new products and business lines in the Nordic markets
• Manage internal interfaces towards support departments  

Your profile:

• More than 3 years of experience in a managerial position of a commercial power department
• Experience from customer business
• Very good knowledge of the Nordic power markets
• Excellent network in the Nordic power market
• Very good negotiation skills and strong commercial mindset
• Ability to form a high-performance team
• High level of initiative and motivation
• Team player with excellent communication skills in English and Norwegian or Swedish – other languages an advantage
