Head Engineer 50% permanent position at OUS and 50% at UiO.
The Institute for Experimental Medical Research (IEMR) is one of the oldest and largest dedicated medical research departments in Norway. Would you like to be our new colleague?
We have an exceptional opportunity for a self-driven and independent individual to join our core facilities for PET and MR imaging. We are currently hiring for a permanent position as a Head Engineer to contribute to our cutting-edge research environment. The overall position is a 100% full-time role, divided between Oslo University Hospital (50%) and the University of Oslo (50%).
The selected candidate needs to apply for both positions, 50% at OUS, Webcruiter and 50% at UiO, JobbNorge (https://www.jobbnorge.no/en/available-jobs/job/249069/head-engineer-50-permanent-position-at-uio-and-50-at-oslo-university-hospital).
Our institute fosters a unique environment with a strong emphasis on research excellence. The Core Facility for preclinical PET (PET-CF) is equipped with a 3-ring PET combined with a 7T MR system, enabling advanced simultaneous PET/MR imaging for small animal research. While primarily based at the PET-CF, you will also engage in activities at the 9.4T MR scanner in the core facility for preclinical MRI.
As a Head Engineer, your key responsibilities will include quality assurance of the technical equipment, performing PET and MRI experiments, assisting researchers, and actively participating in research projects at the facility. We value a multidisciplinary approach and seek candidates who enjoy working in such an environment. A background in medical imaging is highly desirable, and experience with PET imaging is advantageous, though not required. Please note that this position involves handling of research animals.
If you are a dedicated professional seeking an exciting opportunity in the field of PET and MR imaging, this position offers a stimulating work environment and the chance to contribute to groundbreaking research. Join our team and be part of our mission to advance medical imaging technologies.
