Site Management is the facilitator and coordinator between all KONGSBERG sites/offices and KONGSBERG IT. We are responsible for coordinating implementations, improvements and maintenance of the infrastructure and IT systems on the sites.
We are also responsible for ensuring that the sites operate in accordance with current security and maintenance regulations.

The role also has responsibility to follow up/support local IT technicians on the sites. You will work closely with your team and cooperate on the defined tasks. The role is expected to be able to travel a lot domestic/internationally and be available to travel on short notice.

Tasks:

• Receive/process all requests for improvements to the infrastructure
• Design (with assistance from technical resources) local infrastructure
• Request/coordinate offers for Hardware and Services – Deliver cost estimates
• Coordinate implementations
• Contribute in budget processes
• Ensure Infrastructure/Security compliance
• Cooperate closely with relevant functions
• Contribute in all relevant governance documentation work
• Follow up/support local IT resources

 

Qualifications:

As the role includes a lot of dialogue, meetings and coordination you are expected to be comfortable speaking English both written and orally.
It also requires being comfortable with hosting meetings and presentations, as it will be an important tool to handle the roles responsibilities and tasks.
The role has a tough learning curve in technical understanding and competence within infrastructure.
Many situations will require a good architectural perspective and overview in a complex picture. This requires the ability to see contexts and understand technical details quickly.

It’s required to have the right personal attributes to communicate and build bridges worldwide with many different people and cultures.
You have to be a good motivator which is social, positive and outgoing, as the role will include a lot of technical leadership.

Relevant training and follow-up will be given.

 

This position requires Norwegian security clearance.
