Floating Drilling Supervisor

Job Summary: 

Same requirements of a SDSV and NDSV.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Working as SDSV or NDSV on any of DNO’s rigs as coverage capacity for current SDSV’s / NDSV’s
  • Engineering support in Erbil or field based as required during his rotation
  • Mentoring of Junior Kurdish Engineers
  • Drilling infrastructure support:
    • Rig water supply.
    • Water source facilities
    • Drilling waste disposal
    • Drill site location planning, civils supervision and assistance
    • Material procurement – purchase, rental and Work order requests.
    • Drilling related activities support:
      • Accident / incident investigation
      • Drilling site support during well control, fishing. Stuck pipe situations.
      • Rig move supervision and support
      • QA/QC:
        • Service company equipment and materials
        • Non-conformance investigation of service company equipment
        • Inspection and audit of company and contractor equipment and documentation
        • Drilling rig inspections and technical audits as required.

The role reports to Drilling Superintendent, and will be on a 12 month contract working 28/28 rotation.
