The Role… An opportunity has arisen for a Fleet Controller - Containers within the Logistics Division. The role will be centred around ensuring our container fleet is available, maintained and cost effective across the logistics division:

Main responsibilities of the role:

 

• Managing supplier relationships across the European network.
• Be the key liaison with Group operational equipment users.
• Control of off-hire process with rental providers.
• Management of empty movements / positioning of containers.
• Auditing of SLAs with repairing network.
• Authorisation / challenging of container maintenance repairs.
• Control annual fleet replacement programme.
• Lead weekly utilisation meetings.
• An element of European travel required.

 

Who we want…The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, who can maintain and develop relationships remotely and have strong IT skills, coupled with the ability to use multiple systems, along with experience of using planning systems. Technical knowledge of shipping containers/repairs would be advantageous but not essential. You will need to be comfortable working within a team but also capable of being self-driven & proactive to improve / drive forward the business.
