An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hardware- and FPGA-department in our Integrated Solutions division as an Electronics Development Engineer.

We are currently in an exciting phase with several large development projects that will form the basis for Kongsberg Maritimes solutions in remote and autonomous vessels and a greener ocean space.

In this role you will be part of a vibrant and highly competent team that develops electronics and electro-mechanics for our Integrated Solutions product portfolio. You get the opportunity to apply your knowledge in both large and small development projects, in collaboration with software developers and system architects. You will follow products though the lifecycle from idea, though design, implementation, testing and maintenance.

Key accountabilities:

• Concept studies and prototyping
• Specification, architecture and design
• Schematics, simulation and PCB design
• Testing and documentation
• Integration of electronics in systems with FPGA, software and mechanics
• Maintenance of products through the whole lifecycle

Experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor or master’s degree within electronics, cybernetics or other relevant areas.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:
• Digital Electronics
• Analog Electronics
• Power Electronics
• Embedded design (E.g. PCIe, DDR 3/4)
• Functional Safety / Reliability
• EMC
• Simulation
• Schematics and PCB design (Cadence Allegro)
