eSmart Systems is looking for a Director of Finance to join our Group Accounting Department. This is a key leadership role in the organization and is accountable for various tasks within the Group's subsidiaries and will collaborate across the Group, Europe and Americas. The position reports to the CFO and would ideally be located in Halden or Oslo.

Arbeidsoppgaver:

• Responsible for the daily operations in the finance department, including management of personnel
  
• Responsible for financial reports to management, board, and investor relations across the group
  
• Ensure group compliance on relevant IFRS standards as well as training and implementation of new standards
  
• Lead initiative for improving and streamlining the financial department
  
• Be the main point of contact for the company’s external auditor and contribute to internal and external audit processes
  
• Hands-on and contribute with an IFRS compliance view on customer and supplier contracts
  
• Lead and coordinate reviews of financial reporting from group entities
  
• Continuously contribute to improve financial closing procedures within the Group
  
• Support controllers in accounting issues
  
• Perform financial internal control reviews of the subsidiaries
  
• Responsible for operational activities related to Information Security

Kvalifikasjoner:

• Fluent in English, written and spoken
  
• Master´s degree in accounting of finance, MRR or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for a degree.
  
• Minimum 5 years´ experience from auditing or similar position in an IFRS reporting environment
  
• Excellent analytical skills and accounting knowledge, with in-depth command of IFRS
  
• Strong proficiency in Excel
  
• International work and/or educational experience is considered a strong advantage
  
• Commercial understanding
  
• International experience desirable
