Job Description
The Digital Workplace & Collaboration Services Lead is a subject matter expert in Microsoft 365, responsible for implementing, and optimizing collaboration and productivity solutions across the organization.
The role ensures secure, compliant, and effective use of M365 services, including Teams, SharePoint (internal and external), OneDrive, Exchange Online, and endpoint devices. This role focuses on technical leadership, governance, and digital workplace enablement.
 
 
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the SME and operational owner for Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity services, including Teams, SharePoint Online (internal and internet‑facing), OneDrive, Exchange Online, and M365 Groups, ensuring stable and reliable daily operations
  • Own day‑to‑day M365 service operations, including monitoring service health, handling incidents and escalations, root‑cause analysis, and coordinating remediation with internal IT teams, vendors, and Microsoft support.
  • Manage endpoint operations and compliance using Microsoft Intune / MDM, ensuring devices remain compliant, patched, secured, and operational throughout their lifecycle.
  • Operate and continuously optimize M365 collaboration environments with a focus on availability, performance, change control, standardization, and operational resilience.
  • Secure that the operational environment is adhering to corporate policies and follows procedures including Cybersecurity.
  • Advise IT teams and business stakeholders on best practices, adoption strategies, governance, and security in M365.
  • Manage access control, identity management, and document security policies, including role-based access, DLP policies, sensitivity labels, external sharing controls, and retention rules.
  • Keep the status of compliance, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR), and internal policies for collaboration tools, conduct impact analyses and recommendations for change.
  • Resolve complex M365, SharePoint, Teams, and endpoint issues, coordinating with IT teams, vendors, and Microsoft support to ensure operational continuity.
  • Monitor usage, adoption, and compliance metrics across M365, SharePoint, Teams, and endpoints to recommend improvements.
  • Participate in initiatives and projects
 
 
Main Tasks:
  • Configure and optimize Teams, SharePoint Online (internal and internet-facing), OneDrive, Exchange Online, and M365 Groups for productivity and secure collaboration.
  • Manage corporate devices via Intune / MDM, including provisioning, configuration, security compliance, and monitoring.
  • Implement and enforce governance policies, naming conventions, access controls, lifecycle management, and document security measures across the digital workplace.
  • Monitor and report on M365 adoption, Teams usage, SharePoint content health, endpoint compliance, and DLP alerts.
  • Conduct workshops, training, and awareness campaigns to ensure employees follow collaboration best practices and document security policies.
  • Resolve complex technical issues related to M365, SharePoint sites, Teams, OneDrive, device management, and document security.
  • Support integration of M365 tools with other business systems where applicable, ensuring hybrid collaboration scenarios operate smoothly.
  • Act as the escalation point for governance, security, compliance, and adoption questions from site offices and remote users.
 
 
 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration, collaboration, and digital workplace management.
  • Expertise in Teams, SharePoint Online (internal and internet-facing), OneDrive, Exchange Online, and M365 Groups.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune / MDM for endpoint management and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of document security, DLP, retention policies, sensitivity labels, and access governance in M365.
  • Familiarity with Teams governance, lifecycle management, and adoption strategies.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, internal policies, industry regulations) related to collaboration platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex M365 environments and providing expert guidance.
