Make your mark on DFDS Data Governance

In the role as Data Governance Specialist, you will be setting the direction for data governance in DFDS together with your manager, team, and major stakeholders. We are continuously adjusting our strategy to meet changes and challenges in the organisation and the environment, and we need you to help us reform and create thrust and energy.

We have several major projects inclusive an ERP roll-out running where we have a golden opportunity to have a major impact on data governance in DFDS. Our Finance Division will be among our major stakeholders on master data, and you will also work closely with Technology & Innovation and People Division. The department consist of 33 master data analysts, three GDPR specialists and five managers. We are based in our offices in both Poznan and Copenhagen. You will report to the Data Governance Team Lead and act as his right hand.

 

More specifically your main responsibilities include:

• Measure, develop and solidify our master data governance
• Plan adjustments to our strategy and roadmap on data governance
• Implementation on the strategy creating clear impact for DFDS
• Evaluate data quality and identify areas of improvements through objectives and key results
• Working with and present to stakeholders across the organisation incl. VP and C-level
• Joining the team and contribute with continued motivation and engagement
• Exploring continued process excellence and automation opportunities
• Stay informed on best practice and trends within your domain.

 

We expect that:

• The data governance you design is clear and concise with everyone understanding their roles and responsibilities
• Data governance roadmap offers a clear guiding star and practical steps on how to get there
• Stakeholders go away from your meetings with a clear understanding of progress, impact, and how they contribute to the overall success
• You clearly map and communicate benefits and risks regarding data governance in DFDS.

 

What we are looking for

We imagine that you have a good understanding of how master data governance can enable rather than limit. We are looking for a structured specialist that can support the team and major

stakeholders behind a clear vision. You might have a background as a data specialist and project manager and have successfully run data projects in large organisations.

As the tasks often involve many different colleagues you also need to have strong stakeholder management skills.
