What kind of exciting challenges can you expect to meet in this role?: 

• Work and collaborate with other data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and product owners in cross-functional teams to develop data products that support the specific needs of a domain.  

• Develop scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming) for production use cases based mostly on cloud infrastructure. 

• Define modern data architectures and design patterns inspired by the “Data Mesh”. 

• Support application teams in their data needs or data-driven decision-making. 

About you

• You have a background in a data-related field or in a software engineering role with an emphasis on data movement 

• You can perform complex operations and process large datasets in SQL  

• You have experience with data-intensive applications in cloud platforms such as Azure (Data Lake, Synapse), AWS (S3, Athena), and/or Snowflake. In addition, you have knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server) 

• You can work on multiple tasks both independently and as part of a team
  

• You are curious about innovative technologies and willing to be a continuous learner and contribute to your own development by finding the best solutions 

• You take pride in communicating with internal stakeholders at all levels 

Further it is considered a plus: 

• If you can develop code in e.g., Python 

• If you feel comfortable with modern related technologies: Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Airflow.  

• If you have experience with financial data
