Community Marketing Manager

Community Marketing Manager
Role description:
- Develop & own the community engagement strategy across email and social media across all key platforms (including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Pinterest, Youtube, Twitter, blog) & ensuring the strategy is fit for purpose across the Passenger business
- Responsible for the development & execution of the social media and email distribution roadmap
- Working with the Digital Media Manager to ensure that paid community growth initiatives are aligned, performance-driven and integrated into the media mix
- Close collaboration with the Campaign Marketing Managers to support Digital Marketing Specialists to develop engaging content across the community within route agile teams
- Responsible for multi-language & multi-cultural content planning across the DFDS community platforms & systems, including blogs, supported by Digital Marketing Specialists
- Ensuring a ‘test & learn’ approach to content and community engagement development
- Reporting and attribution to demonstrate the impact of community engagement activities on the wider Passenger business and sharing its influence with the wider organization
- Responsible for highlighting and testing industry developments, new techniques and other opportunities across community engagement profiles and platforms
- Lead on wider business projects as community engagement expert, supported by Digital Marketing Specialists
- Development of Digital Marketing Specialists in community engagement skill, tooling and understanding
- Setting, managing and delivering all key KPI's for community engagement marketing activities
- Utilising customer insight and business learning's to inform strategies and executions
- Management of a team of Digital Marketing Specialists ensuring effective time management & prioritization across the broader Digital Marketing channels
Profile: Skills, experience, education
- Skilled marketing professional with 3+ years’ extensive and practical experience in community engagement, content strategy, social media strategy or database engagement
- A strong background in using content to engage customers and drive positive ROI's with a keen commercial focus
- Excellent working knowledge of digital community, social media, email marketing and database engagement to optimise the customer journey to drive commercial results
- Ability and motivation from analysing performance data to continually optimise activities with an analytical outlook & ability
- Demonstrable experience formulating, implementing and executing community engagement strategies and campaigns
- Excellent working knowledge of industry best practice tools, technologies and processes, including Google Analytics, social media management platforms/SaaS and ESPs
- Positive, optimistic, and energetic to join a team of like-minded individuals, each with different skill sets, working together towards a common goal
- Collaborative approve to working - the ability to work alongside other departments is key, within Marketing, Passenger & wider functions across the group
- A passion for the latest digital marketing trends and best practices, and a desire to influence and drive the digital marketing agenda
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong people management skills
- Knowledge and understanding of travel and digital marketing industries is desirable
- Marketing, Digital or Business degree or professional qualification is desirable
