DFDS operates 3 shortsea routes and 30 weekly intermodal connections (rail, barge) out of Belgium.
Ghent, where DFDS Belgium also operates a multimodal terminal, operates 6 sailings per week to/from Gothenburg. Once per week Brevik in Norway is also called.
In Zeebrugge DFDS operates 4 sailings per week to/from Gothenburg and 1 sailing per week to/from UK & Norway. The project team for these activities is located in Ghent and we are now looking for a a new commercial project coordinator

 

Main responsibilities

The role of commercial project coordinator requires people & stakeholder management, ownership and a thorough understanding of shipping & logistics. The responsibilities are mainly linked to our local production logistics business.

You will, coordinate and improve existing business to ensure a constantly improved service and communication towards the customer. In order to do so, understanding the operational processes and the customers is key. This entails the below responsibilities

• End to end project management supporting the improvement of existing business
• Daily KPI reporting to DFDS’ key customers (Volvo Cars, Volvo Trucks)
• Continuous improvement on existing processes
• Understanding the operational & commercial setup
• Coordination with operational, commercial and customer service colleagues in Belgium & Sweden
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, internal and other relevant 3^rd party stakeholders
• Main point of contact in case of escalation and coordination
• Initiator and participant of ad-hoc projects for ongoing improvements
• Drive digital initiatives to improve the customer service processes
• Willingness to travel
