Clinical Embryologist
Offentlig forvaltning
The Department for Reproductive Medicine at Oslo University Hospital, Norway, is seeking one full time embryologist for a permanent position. Start date is flexible, but an early start date is preferred.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a large public IVF clinic at the University Hospital of Oslo. The department offers 1800 fresh IVF and ICSI cycles per year, and has produced more than 10 000 babies since it was established in 1984. In addition to standard fresh and thaw cycles, the clinic offers PESA /TESA, donor insemination and IVF, and fertility preservation (oocyte, ovarian tissue, and semen cryopreservation), and time-lapse imaging. Following recent changes in the law regulating IVF (Biotechnology law), the department is also planning to offer egg donation and PGT. The successful candidate will join a staff of 15 embryologists, nine nurses, ten doctors, and three researchers.
The department has an expanding research group working on basic science and innovation projects. Projects include work with human oocytes and embryos, as well as animal models. The research group has published high impact articles, and has strong collaborations, both nationally and internationally. We have also established a clinical and research environment for “Epigenetics and bioethics of human embryonic development”. Embryologists employed in the department have excellent opportunities to participate in research projects.
The position will be advertised both internally and externally. If the successful candidate is an internal employee, other candidates may be offered a locum (temporary) position.
