Manglerud skole is located at Manglerud, a twelve-minute ride by public transport form the city centre of Oslo. Manglerud skole has 975 students on years 1-10, of which approximately 200 students are enrolled in the International Classes.  The school's vision is to provide high quality education in a safe and inclusive learning environment based on tolerance and respect.

Manglerud skole, International Classes is a city-wide school programme open for applicants from the Municipality of Oslo with the language of instruction as English.

Vacant Positions/ Stillinger: Permanent Teaching Position 100%. – Classroom Teacher PYP

Arbeidsoppgaver:

Arbeidsoppgaver/ Tasks
Teach with a whole child approach encouraging inquiry
Create and sustain an inclusive learning environment for all students
Encourage critical thinking and discussion amongst students
Commit to a constructivist, student-centered, activity-based approach to teaching and learning
Plan and execute lessons and assessments in subject areas in accordance with IB PYP and MYP standards and practices
Communicate and collaborate with parents on student progress and development
Collaborate with PYP or MYP coordinator to create trans-and inter-disciplinary units, articulating learning goals across subjects, evaluating practices, and general IB program development
Facilitate conflict resolution amongst students using restorative practice
Mentor students in projects within the IB curriculum
Collect and build a resource bank for subject areas
Attend official IB PYP or MYP training / professional development 

Kvalifikasjoner:

Required Qualifications
Teaching degree, recognized by NOKUT and UDIR
Work permit in Norway/EU
English language Proficiency
Bachelors or Masters degrees in relevant subject areas and/or meeting minimum credit requirements in subjects
