Our current Business Director is taking on new challenges in Elkem, and we are looking for his replacement. As Business Director Foundry Products, you will be responsible for sales of speciality alloys to the iron foundry industry. The business area has a turnover of more than 500 million USD and more than 1000 customers. You will manage a global sales team and serve as Board member for some of our sales offices and production units.

Most important areas of responsibility:

• Develop and execute the sales strategy to reach our profitability and growth targets
• Contribute to our global customer excellence program and implement improvements for own area of responsibility
• Drive product development and innovation processes within the business area
• Responsible for marketing of products and solutions
• Optimize value chains by close cooperation with production units

Qualifications required for the position:

• Gobal experience from sales or other commercial positions, preferably from relevant industries
• Strong commercial skills
• Demonstrated management skills and experience
• Experience from manufacturing operations is an advantage
• Master’s degree is preferred
• Fluent in English, both written and oral

In order to succeed in the position, you must have high ambitions and be result oriented combined with good interpersonal skills. You must have strong analytical and communication skills, ability to set direction and motivate your team to develop and reach ambitious targets.

The position reports to VP Sales and requires travelling.

Location will be at one of Elkem’s offices globally.
