Business Administration Apprentice
Apprenticeships shouldn’t be about making tea and photocopying, they should be an opportunity for you to come into a business, learn essential skills in a particular job and get a nationally recognised qualification at the same time – sound good? At DFDS in Dover, we have the opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our existing team.
Working Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 5pm, you’ll be doing all things administration, including managing the booking of meeting rooms and ordering any refreshments required. You’ll need to ensure we have all necessary stationery on site and order any required and you’ll need to ensure our company vehicles are serviced and maintained. Assisting with the organisation of corporate events, dinners, seminars, there could also be the opportunity to travel abroad on our vessels and visiting other ports for staff and customer entertainment.
The role is really varied so there will be lots for you to get involved in and gain experience. One day you could be dealing with highly confidential projects and the next you could be out on the port or onboard one of our vessels. We’ll also need you to become a trained First Aider and Fire Warden, but of course we will give you all of the training you’ll need to be successful in these posts.
