An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Bench/Service Technician, reporting to our Factory Service Manager and working closely with the local team in Lynnwood.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Service Technician will perform in-house repairs, customer support via phone and email, and completed service visits as needed.  Our technicians work closely with all departments including shipping, sales, and finance. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with the Operations Manager to ensure day to day service requests are satisfied.
  • Provides customer support via phone, remote via team viewer, email, and in person as needed.
  • Performs equipment evaluations, troubleshooting to board level, quotes and repairs of all equipment.
  • Set up and test new systems from stock prior to shipment.
  • Utilize internal systems including Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Axapta to track repair projects.
  • Utilize Microsoft TEAMS and One Note for tracking and collaboration.
  • Submit parts requests for inventory needs and repairs; monitors stock levels for forecasting based on usage levels.
  • Creates repair estimates and sends to customer for approval.
  • Completes repairs using parts and time allotted in estimate.
  • Verify sales/repair orders have all necessary hardware on the sales order.
  • Documents all work for future reference.
  • Educates customers and end users on proper operation, maintenance, and hygiene of products, as well as product upgrades for the best hardware performance.
  • Assists engineering and sales personnel as needed.

YOU ARE ABLE TO:

  • Carry out service and support for our equipment and customers.
  • Able to lift 20lbs overhead, stand for long periods, and have no bending restrictions.
  • Identify and report incidents, improvements, and needs to Operations Manager.
  • Independently prioritize and complete work tasks for the assigned repair, service visit, or project.
  • Track metrics related to the service department such as repair time, cost per repair, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a US citizen that is able to be cleared at least to the Secret Level.
  • Ability to get a TWIC card & passport.
  • Willingness to travel - Internationally at times.
  • AA or Military preferred.
  • Prefer basic understanding of marine industry, fishing environments, and wheelhouse electronics.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use an oscilloscope and multimeter.
  • Be customer orientated and “service minded”.
  • Work independently while being quality minded in all aspects of the job.
  • Be a team player and a motivated self-learner.
  • Good communication skills via phone, remote, and email.
  • Dedication and desire to build a long career within the technical field.

 

Work Location: Lynnwood, Washington

Travel within US and Internationally including Norway, Canada, and Spain for training.

Pay Range: $35.00 - $40.00/hr. plus overtime (DOE)
