Help us implement event driven, API first components running in the cloud

As Backend Developer you will become part of the Technology & Innovation Division and work in a cross functional agile team. Together with your colleagues, you will use your professional skills to design, build and run the best possible solutions for improving our ferry and road transport services in Europe. This is of course also done in close collaboration with our colleagues in the different business areas. You will be a key player in changing our existing software applications towards our new reference architecture, which is event driven, API first components running in the cloud - which enable us to release code many times a day.

As our new Backend Developer, you shall be ready to take responsibility for:

• Design code in C#/.Net Core which is highly available using cloud first
• Use microservice architecture which leverages reusable components
• Utilize understanding of continuous integration and deployment
• Maintain excellent code quality and automatization
• Engage, coordinate, and collaborate activities within and across agile teams

We are agile... Are you?

Well, we already spoiled it in the heading – we are working agile in the Technology & Innovation. As the agile principles are very defining for our culture and the way we work, we need you to either have experience with it or at least to be ready to follow the principles and the Scrum/Kanban methodology. Otherwise, we are not sure that this will be a happy friendship.

Turning the focus to you

We expect you to hold a bachelor- or a master’s degree of science, to have solid experience with .NET and cloud development. Knowledge and practical experience with all the following technologies and architectures is not a requirement but a nice to have - we do however expect that you have experience with at least one of them:

• C#/.NET Core
• AWS
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Microservices using REST API & Event Driven Development
• DDD
• Relational databases, e.g. Microsoft SQL Server
• NoSQL databases
• Azure DevOps and Git
