We are seeking an Aftermarket Sales Engineer-Electrification in Kongsberg Maritime’s division Global Customer Support. We need an electrical engineer with determination and ability to solve challenging technical tasks often within short time frames.

You will be involved in activities related to technical sales support of both products and concept sales to turnkey solutions for the sailing fleet worldwide. In this role you will make a measurable difference to the reduction of carbon footprint of the maritime industry through aftermarket upgrades and modifications with electrification based on products from our Integrated Solutions (INTSOL) product portfolio.

Key accountabilities

• Prepare technical & commercial proposals in tendering processes for INTSOL, overseeing multi-disciplinary competence areas.
• Responsible for the technical specification and input to cost calculation for INTSOL, including estimation of equipment and material for INTSOL packages, resources needed and technical handover from sales to projects.
• Manage all integration and interfaces with existing asset and provide technical assistance to customers, suppliers, concept design and feasibility studies if needed.
• Owner of responsibility matrix for INTSOL deliverables.
• Design electrical packages that fulfil market requirements and client expectations.
• Technical responsible for all high voltage (6.6 – 11 kV) offerings in aftermarket.
• Provide technical reference / guidance to equipment suppliers, internal departments and customers.

Qualifications and experience

• Master or Bachler degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experienced high voltage engineer, with experience from switchboards and drives
• On-site experience from refit and conversions at maintenance and repair yards.
• Capacity to interpretate piping and instrumentation diagrams, Architectural and mechanical documents
• Competence user of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Microsoft Projects
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken
