There is now 2 vacant positions as special advisor/administrative coordinator at The European Palliative Care Research Centre (PRC), the Cancer Association’s centre for Patient-Centred Care. We are looking for an experienced researcher and administrator who can contribute to strengthening our expertise and capacity in research, external communication and in leading the PRC nationally and internationally.
PRC is organized within the Department of Oncology (AKB) and the Institute of Clinical Medicine at UiO. PRC has a large national and international interdisciplinary network with outstanding researchers from many countries in Europe, Canada, and Australia. Together, we work to ensure that patients and their families receive the best possible knowledge-based care locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
PRC has the following prioritized research areas: nutrition/cachexia, pain, quality of life, health services research, and end-of-life research. The centre is currently conducting several large international multi-centre studies. PRC is also in the leading role in several EU financed projects; MyPath (as coordinator), JANE2 (as WP-lead), EuonQoL (as WP-lead) as well as MATRIX; Norwegian Centre for Clinical Cancer Research as co-lead. The applicant is expected to contribute to content and administrative support in these projects, as well as running the center in general.
The coordinators will be part of the research group at PRC, consisting of 5 senior researchers along with 1 professor in palliative medicine. We are looking for an experienced researcher who can contribute within several of PRC's thematic areas. In the position one will in addition to administrative support, take part in the strategic development of the centre, reporting, budgeting and strategic marketing. The tasks will also include assisting in the development of new projects and applying for external funding.
2 100% positions are available. The positions are temporary engagements.

Kvalifikasjoner:
Requirements:
- Background from health care
- PhD or similar research capacity
- Experience with research in the PRC prioritized areas
- Experience with writing grant applications can be an advantage but is not required.
- Ability to write articles.
- Experience with international research collaboration.
- Good skills in active cooperation, dialogue, and communication internally and with other specialist environments.
