3-years postdoc position

A 3-years postdoc position funded by South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority is vacant.  The postdoc will work on vaccines delivered as DNA. The studies will be performed in a preclinical model for influenza with a focus on neuraminidase. The project will be led by PhD Senior researcher and group leader Ranveig Braathen at the Department of Immunology and Transfusion Medicine, Oslo University Hospital. The successful candidates will work in an 8-member research team. The research group is part of a stimulating and international research environment of about 100 scientists working on various aspects of immunology.

Kvalifikasjoner:

We seek a highly motivated person with a PhD or equivalent in immunology, molecular biology or related fields. The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Prior experience within immunology or influenza research or vaccine development.
  • Prior experience with techniques such as cell culture, molecular biology techniques, protein purification, ELISA, flow cytometry, ELLA, in vitro microneutralization assay, ADCC, immunization of mice, influenza challenge, T cell assays.
  • Experience in handling mice (FELASA C approval).
