Due to high workload in our Service Workshop for Deck Machinery & Motion Control products in Brattvaag, we now seek to strengthen our Repair & Overhaul team. As a Workshop Technician, you will be a part of a highly qualified team who handles repair & overhaul tasks related to our winches, steering gears and cranes. We do large and small overhauls, repairs, upgrades and retrofits, and we can guarantee a dynamic workday with great variety. Our broad product portfolio requires skilled workers with both mechanical & hydraulic experience.

 

You will be part of the division Global Customer Support which is responsible for Kongsberg Maritimes services, upgrades and support in the aftermarket. Our 2300 employees are present in 35 different countries around the world. During the operational lifetime of more than 30.000 installations, we ensure cost-efficient delivery of services, upgrades and spare parts in order to secure availability and predictability to our customers.

 

Key accountabilities

• Service work in our workshop and onboard vessels at our quay side
• Participate in testing of new and overhauled equipment and systems
• Opportunity to participate in travel assignments together with our Field Service Engineers
• Opportunity to participate in new building follow-up internally or externally

 

Qualifications and experience

• Technical Education, Certificate of Apprenticeship or Practical Experience
• Mechanical and hydraulic experience
• Product knowledge is a great advantage, but not a demand (Deck Machinery & Motion Control products in general, low pressure hydraulics in particular)
• Preferred certificates: B (as a minimum), Forklift (T1-T4), Lifting (G11)
