Wind Turbine Quality Engineer

If you are an experienced and highly motivated wind turbine quality engineer with international experience from manufacturing, installation and/or commissioning of wind turbines, then we want you to contact us!

As a result of growth in wind farm construction activities around the world, the team responsible for Wind Turbine Technology and Quality is strengthening its Quality Assurance competence. We are looking for an Engineer with extensive background from quality assurance of manufacturing, installation and/or commissioning of wind turbines.

Securing the correct quality of the wind turbines is of vital importance for the projects and for the following operational phase. The role WT Quality Engineer will be part of the Wind Turbine Technology and Quality team. The role will report to the Head of Technology and Quality. The team will follow-up the wind turbine deliveries to all current and future wind farm projects within Statkraft.

Your role:
  • Follow-up all aspects of the quality of the wind turbines from the production of wind turbines until the wind turbines are completed and taken over by the owner at each site.
  • Perform systematic quality assurance work as defined by the project plans, processes, contracts and other relevant requirements.
  • Contribute to maintenance of highest possible safety standards and performance, project progress and quality through active participation across a wide range of project tasks.
Your profile:
  • Engineering degree, Master of Science in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • At least three years of experience within the field of quality assurance of wind turbines and its main components.
  • Installation experience from larger wind turbine projects and coordination of quality related tasks.
  • Long-term-value thinking in quality work.
  • Good in working in team - with the ability to work alone and self-supervised.
  • Used to take initiative, observant and strong will/attitude with regards to finding and realizing continuous improvement potential.
  • Advantage if relevant wind turbine specific training courses are in place.
  • Excellent skills in English, language skills in Spanish and Portuguese would be an advantage.
  • Good skills in MS Office.
  • Driving license (car).

We have a preference for office location Oslo or Trondheim but will want to talk to candidates who prefer to work from other Statkraft offices across Europe.
