Job Summary:

• Assist in providing safe day to day well site management during well test operations to deliver the well test objectives in accordance with Procedures and HSE requirements in the most cost-effective manner.
• Working as per established technical procedures given in the approved well test program.
• Work including, but not limited to preparation, rig up, operation, maintenance, rig down and returning to base.
• To ensure each job operates with a competent crew and reliable equipment.
• Is responsible for the crew and equipment on location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify the well test design process and safety critical equipment are suitable for well parameters and objectives.
• Assist in selecting appropriate equipment to meet well test objectives.
• Attends and actively participates in the HAZOP meeting and relevant Risk Assessments.
• Inspect well test equipment prior to mobilization and review certification package [function / pressure tests, proof loading, NDT etc.]
• Ensure equipment certificates are available, and collect certifications as required.
• Evaluating crew members and report to Well Test Specialist, as required.
• Ensure equipment SOPs, JSAs, and MSDS are complete and available to crew.
• Ensure all personnel are equipped with all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Perform and actively participate in all required safety meetings, JSAs and walk around/shift handover.
• Coordinate equipment load out following company procedures.
• Coordinate and assign rig up/down responsibilities, participate in the installation of the unit or system to be tested, including rig up and rig down of all test equipment and indicating instruments, as per P&ID.
• Supervise all commissioning tests and inspections are carried out on all installed equipment as per relevant SOP and equipment design.
• Ensure all operations forms and checklist are completed. Retain all documentation.
• Co-ordinate preventative maintenance, supervise, operate, repair and maintain surface test equipment within safe parameters.
• Monitor equipment controls and instrumentation, record test data and verify data quality for engineer/client's use.
• Supervise and perform liquid sampling and analysis, verify quality.
• Supervise and perform troubleshooting of equipment and process anomalies.
• Report any abnormalities of equipment.
• Assist in generating a list of needed spare parts from suppliers.
• Report all incidents, accidents/near misses and unsafe working environments.
• Recommend changes in test methods or equipment, and document suggestions on daily report.
• Perform operations as per SOPs and ensure crew is aware of correct safe operations.
• Collect field service quality form and submit with job report.
• Monitor sensors and ensure they are reading within parameters.
• Communicate with DAQ Technician to confirm project data collection procedure.
• Verify and validate manual data against DAQ.
• Responsible for good housekeeping and cleanliness on location.
• Maintain clear and professional communications with all crew members 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• A University degree in an engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical or petroleum engineering is preferred but not essential
• Minimum 7 years well testing field experience
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Expertise in well test design and execution.
• Strong focus on HES during the planning and design phase as well as on location to ensure well test activities are carried out in a safe but time efficient manner.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to establish good working relationships with team
• Valid Well Control certification(preferred)
• Experience in supervision of land well test operations with operating companies.
