Vianode AS is owned by Elkem, Hydro and Altor and was established early 2021. We aim to become a leading solutions provider to the fast-growing battery industry.

Our advanced anode material is a key component in lithium-ion battery cells and our products contribute to increased range for electric vehicles, faster charging, long life, and increased safety.

Our efforts and sustainable solutions are crucial for the green change.Our first full-scale industrial plant for production of anode graphite is being built at Herøya and start of production in first phase (fast-track) will be in 2024.

This is a unique opportunity for you to have a key role right from the development phase and into industrialization. You will play an important role in an environment with team focus and dedicated people. 

Areas of responsibility:

• Contribute to the industrialization projects in Vianode
• Active participation in HSE activities and active ownership of our goal of zero injuries
• Supporting process and technology development with theoretical modelling

Key qualifications:

• Master or PhD in engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry or similar
• Experience with FEM modelling, preferably Comsol Multiphysics and ideally with 3D, AC/DC, heat transfer and CFD calculations, including both time dependent and steady state
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably from industry
• Abel to connect theoretical calculations, analytical methods, physical observation and process measurements to ensure model validation
• Experience with additional modelling tools like HSC, Metsim or similar may also be of relevance
• Good knowledge of English (working language), knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage
