The Role… We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse/Coldstore Team Leader Nights based at Liverpool to lead a Team of Warehouse/Coldstore Operatives to successfully deliver the Warehouse/Coldstore plan, within budget, whilst ensuring procedures are followed to satisfy operational and legislative requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, Lead and Motivate a team of Warehouse operatives
• Ensure that team members are effectively trained in Standard Operational procedures and Safe Systems of work
• Conduct Shift briefings to effectively communicate with team members and encourage 2-way communication 
• Effectively plan and allocate shift labour and equipment to achieve plans to budgeted productivity requirements
• Record labour usage against warehouse activity to accurately collate warehouse KPI detail.
• Conduct Accident and Near Miss investigations
• To be responsible for the shift adhering to food hygiene policies and adhering to the site HACCP plan.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure effective delivery of the plan 
• Monitor sickness, absence levels and timekeeping with the Accounts Department through return to work interviews and counselling and carry out the appropriate action in line with company policy.

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

• Previous supervisory experience
• Effective Planning &Delegation skills
• Experience of WMS Systems
• Experience in automated warehousing
• Competent in Excel and Word
• Demonstrable knowledge of Transport & Warehouse Process Links
