Our Automation & Control Division in KM develops technology, products, and solutions applicable for maritime vessels, offshore production units, and fisheries & aquaculture. We look at the ocean space as our operating area where we deliver a wide range of products and services. Our deliveries ranges from single products to fully integrated systems and solutions. Automation & Control serve a wide range of market segments. Through our comprehensive portfolio of offerings Automation & Control has been recognized as a world leader in our core markets for the last decades.
Vessel Systems is a delivery business unit in Automation & Control which is responsible for Automation, Dynamic Positioning, Navigation, Thruster Control and Gas Management / Process control. We are seeking a new Vice President to lead Vessel Automation & Process Control, Engineering Department and bring the global organization to the next level related to digitalization, competitiveness, and collaboration.
Please be aware that this position will require some travelling. The position reports to Senior Vice President.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Automation and Gas management team
- Responsible for the engineered solutions made in the projects and life cycle management related to the delivered solutions on the K-Chief platforms
- Responsible for the overall Continuous Improvement Projects in the Engineering department`s
- Global strategic workforce planning – Set and communicate the resourcing plan for Vessel Automation & Process Control short-medium and long-term
- Develop efficient execution models to shape KM's future
- Lead and mentor the ongoing product harmonization from a delivery perspective
- Ensure that Vessel Automation & Process Control, Engineering Departments actively supports KM’s short and long-term strategies and goals.
- Main responsible for the operational budget for the department
- Take charge in upcoming digitalization projects ensuring future competitiveness.
- Maintain close cooperation with Product and Sales contributing to predicting future competitive advantage
