Our VP Logistics Continent is a new position and an essential member of the Cold chain Leadership team. With our business spread the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Belgium we are looking for a senior leader who shares our passion, energy and enthusiasm for our coldchain business. Reporting to the Deputy EVP Logistics & Head of Coldchain you’ll lead a team of approx. 1.503 employees and have responsibility for driving the growth of the business unit and developing the commercial strategy. Currently the region is performing well. The cold chain revenues at DFDS are significant, with approximately yearly 1,7 bnDKK through the Nordics. In this position there is significant opportunity for future growth and increased levels of collaboration within and across the other cold chain regions throughout Europe. About the role You are responsible for the end-to-end operational performance and development of the business through robust performance management – from revenue growth, profitability, cost savings, efficiencies, quality and delivery to customer service levels, customer satisfaction, compliance and sustainability. You’ll be leading and engaging colleagues, creating development opportunities, successfully managing change and communication to facilitate a positive collaborative and developmental culture. Being an energetic and inspiring leader who can develop strong working relationships with executive team members and key function business partners, you’ll guarantee the competitiveness of the entire organisation. We will also need you to ensure legal compliance across all functions with a high level of focus upon safety and quality, and seek opportunities for standardisation and synergies across the DFDS network.
Who you are?
- You are an experienced leader with a degree in business.
- 10+ years related experience in the transport industry
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing business plans.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- An enthusiastic, flexible, and positive attitude
