To be even better positioned to meet our strategic ambitions, Kongsberg Maritime has recently implemented organizational changes, resulting in a strengthened Technology Division to better support our strategic ambitions. Vice President Finance Technology will be responsible for the new financial set-up in the Technology division. To enable synergies, the position will be collaborating closely with the central finance team in Kongsberg Maritime.

Strong financial management of operations is a key responsibility in this role. Additionally, technology changes how companies operate. The successful candidate will drive business transformation by development and implementation of new operating models. The right candidate will challenge the business, develop goals and strategies, drive implementation, communicate effectively and be a strong team player. Vice President Finance Technology will have clear accountabilities, be part of the Technology division leadership team and a close advisor to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Key accountabilities:

• Financial management; reporting, forecasting, strategic ambition plan and risk management for division, including business units, product lines and projects.
• Develop and implement a cost allocation model for the Technology Platform Business Unit
• Refined and automated allocation of IT costs. Cost control in close collaboration with IT function.
• Measure and report value capture of the Digital Business Transformation program
• Financial analysis of strategic supplier agreements, working closely with business unit and strategic sourcing
• Working closely with central finance and the other divisions, leading to the adoption and improvement of digital tools for financial control, management and governance related to product line financial performance and R&D project execution
• Governance of model for Business Case development and follow up of R&D projects in Kongsberg Maritime

Qualifications:

• Higher education within finance or accounting
• Experience with financial management of large and complex organizations
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster a strong performance culture, close collaboration and cross-functional alignment across organizational boundaries
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English. Ability to present complex information clearly. Effective interpersonal communication.                                       
• Strong business acumen
• Deep technology, customer and market understanding. Ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities
• High ethical standards and adheres to the values of KONGSBERG: Reliable, Determined, Innovative and Collaborative
