Statkraft is Europe's largest generator of renewable energy from hydro, wind, and solar power. Our aim is to become a leading developer of onshore wind and solar projects, taking on a significantly larger number of projects than before.

The business area European Wind and Solar (E) is responsible for development and ownership of wind and solar assets in Europe. The business area is also responsible for the project execution of large projects in Statkraft, the group procurement function and development of new business opportunities.

Early phase is a new unit within New Business. The unit is responsible developing the next strategic initiatives Statkraft should explore and embark on in order to meet it’s targets to re-invent itself by developing new business lines in addition to existing core activity. A systematic approach on how to run and manage this unit has been developed and will have to be further refined, including updating defined search field narrowing the scope of opportunities being pursued. The unit will need to develop a broad network both internally and externally in order to succeed.     

 Your role:

• Develop new initiatives that later can be turned into new strategic growth opportunities for Statkraft
• Heading a unit of highly motivated an experienced employees
• Further develop framework and systematic approach to exploring new opportunities
• Develop a formal mandate for the unit
• Revise search fields when required and adapt ways of working in the nit
• Building strong network internally (R&D, Business Areas and SK Ventures) and create a stronger internal entrepreneurial drive
• Position Statkraft on external arenas and attract and develop ideas

Your profile:

• Master/university degree in business, economy, engineering or science
• Self driven and strong commercial mindset with analytical approach
• Willingness to prioritize and put efforts on a few ideas that emerge after a thorough screening process   
• High knowledge and experience within early phase development and execution, preferably within the energy sector, as well as drive and motivation to add value in this field
• Excellent team-player with very good communication skills, enjoying collaboration across units
• Fluency in English
