£19,000 - £24,000 per annum

We’re passionate about delivering a brilliant service to our customers and our work is expanding in Dover. We are looking for a Trainee Customs Clearance Clerk to join our current team to help handle this new and existing work, whilst maintaining a seamless service.  If you’re looking for a role within a dynamic and enthusiastic environment, with a willingness to succeed… we have the opportunity for you!

Initially working Mon – Fri, 08:00 -17:00 for the training period, then moving on to a 24/7 shift pattern, you’ll be communicating with customers along with internal stakeholders. You will be joining a dedicated team, to deliver an efficient customs clearance service, providing very high standards of service. We seek someone who has a good standard of education, knowledge of Microsoft systems and is computer literate.

You will be trained and supported in Customs clearance documentation, checking customer satisfaction, so as to be able to advise customers on import and export restrictions, tariff systems, insurance requirements and all other customs related matters. DFDS will also help the successful candidate with their Level 2 Customs Academy course.
