Are you a tester or test lead with developer background and previous experience within business intelligence/data warehousing? SEB Pension & Försäkring is now looking for a Test Lead within our Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse area.

SEB Pension & Försäkring is one of the leading life insurance companies in the Nordics with 1.8 million customers, whereof 1.3 million in Sweden. In our data driven journey we are now looking for someone to join us in developing our new data warehouse.

About the team and the job
As a test lead you will join an ambitious data warehouse team that is determined to build SEB Pension & Försäkring’s next generation information platform. As a team, we take pride in delivering high quality solutions in a timely manner. Even though IT is our core competence, it is important for us to have knowledge about the business we support as well. In our team, we cover different roles such as business analysts, ETL developers and QA analysts, distributed across two geographical locations. We all come from different backgrounds and cultures but together we are a close-knit team with a joint mission – to create a second to none information platform for SEB Pension & Försäkring.

As a Test Lead in our team you will test ETL load and extraction jobs from a business as well as technical perspective. The role will participate in the test coordination and planning activities and will develop the test design, evaluating the business and technical requirements for testability and defining the acceptance criteria together with the rest of the team.

• Work across both manual and automated testing
• Create test cases and test data
• Execute test cases
• Responsible for test environment
• Manage problem tracking process
• Perform defect tracking

Who are you?
To be successful in this role you need to be a good communicator both in English and Swedish.  Have an analytical ability, paying attention both to details and understand the big picture.  Being proactive, curious and flexible are important factors. You should have a technical experience and drive, maybe you have a history as a developer with an understanding of data modelling.  You strongly believe that an agile team approach is the best way of pushing initiatives forward in an organization.  Since half of our delivery team is located in Kuala Lumpur, it is important to be able to communicate well in English (verbal as well as written) and to be open to work in different arrangements.

In order to fit into this position, you should have several years of testing experience. You should have the following skills and experience, listed in the order of importance:

• Strong experience in SQL
• Preferably experience with data warehousing and ETL testing
• Programming/test automation/scripting experience, such as C# or Java for example
• Knowledge of data modelling and domain knowledge from insurance or banking is a merit

Tools and techniques we are using in our everyday work are for example Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft, SSIS, Visual Studio .NET, VBA Excel, XML and XSD
