An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Waterjet Systems business unit in the position of Technical Sales Support Engineer. In this role you will be a part of a dynamic, multinational team of engineers working together to design, manufacture, sell and deliver waterjets of world class performance. The team in which you would be an important part, is located in Kristinehamn, Sweden and Kokkola, Finland. In addition to sales support, you will work closely with Engineering to Order, Contract and Product Management. Together, the team is responsible for all Merchant and small Naval waterjet projects. The Waterjet team works in close cooperation with sales and other internal departments to ensure a positive customer experience by offering and delivering the right product, on time and according to budget.

Key accountabilities

As Technical Sales Support Engineer you are responsible for developing technically and commercially complete offers to customers. This includes selecting the optimum type of waterjet system and making related performance predictions, configuring a technical scope of supply, calculating costs and creating the commercial offer. This work is done with help of several computerized sales tools, and the work also involves development of the same. Support of the sales work in its different phases of a project is is an important part of this role. You will have daily international contact with our regional sales team, yards, designers, and operators of waterjets.

Qualifications and experience

To succeed in this position, you will ideally have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (or relevant technical education and/or relevant experience including project work.

The work requires a high degree of accuracy and an analytical approach to finding solutions. A flexible mindset and being able to easily adapt to new situations will help, due to the variety of work and continuously changing requirements.

Previous experience working in international multicultural environments and interacting across cultures is advantageous.

You are a team player with a collaborative attitude and ability to communicate in a clear and structured way, sharing your specialist knowledge and expertise with others. You are driven and have a proactive approach in your work, producing fresh and imaginative ideas and solutions and are prepared to act on your own initiative. You can analyse complex data and problems and come up with rational judgments.

Regular communication with both international customers and colleagues is a big part of this role, therefore a high level of both oral and written English is necessary. Fluency in additional languages is advantageous.
