An exciting opportunity has arisen as Technical Account Manager at our Seatex division in Kongsberg Discovery (KD) to strengthen the team supporting our customers on all Seatex products.

The Technical Account Manager role is part of Seatex Customer Support department, which is a part of the Customer Services Division. Kongsberg Discovery Customer Services delivers support activities to vessel owners and customers based and operating worldwide.

In the role of Technical Account Manager, you will be a part of the team contributing to making our customers successful in being operational in their business. Your main responsibility is to follow up a portfolio of customers with Service Agreements and of major importance, to secure our customers the most profitable and efficient operation. Our customers demand uptime on their assets and strive to keep total cost of ownership as low as possible. In this, there is an opportunity for us to act as a reliable partner using our competence to provide aftermarket solutions and service to help them reach their goals.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Be a main contact person for a select portfolio of customers with Service Agreements, primarily within offshore seismic and oil/gas.
  • Be a part of the support operation and ensure all communication and customer requests are given the right attention/priority and response.
  • Proactively follow up on all inquiries to ensure continuous progress and proper actions towards our customers.
  • Assist Kongsberg Discovery Customer Services network in technical and operational issues.
  • Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the Kongsberg Discovery Quality Management System (QMS/HSE/Security) and in accordance with KD values.
  • Travel as required.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Engineer (BSc/MSc) or relevant technical education/experience.
  • Experience from offshore/ship electronics.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and native language.
  • Experience and knowledge of Kongsberg Discovery/Kongsberg Maritime’s products.
