Sustainability & Process Lead

Procurement as part of Supply Chain, is a core business process for Kongsberg Maritime. Procurement is responsible for managing all supplier activity, covering sourcing, purchasing operations and supplier management including Sustainability and ESG.

The role of the Sustainability & Process Lead will be leading processes focused on Responsible Supply Chain across Kongsberg Maritime, working closely with the Business Divisions, Sites and Regions. You will be responsible for leading the Procurement strategy to increase supplier engagement and compliance of suppliers against Kongsberg Maritime requirements.

You will be responsible for supporting Divisions in supplier due diligence process including managing and development of digital tool used for the process. You will be heavily involved in Carbon Emission Reduction project within Supply Chain helping Divisions to achieve their goals and reporting progress to senior management. In this role you will also support development and management of Procurement processes and tools. This position will interface with other Kongsberg Maritime functions to ensure that an integrated approach is taken for the benefit of the business.


Work location: preferably Poland (Kraków), other KM locations in Europe can be considered for the right candidate.


Key accountabilities:
 

  • Sustainability and ESG – accountable for the due diligence process within a supply chain, supporting Division with supplier engagement and compliance with regulatory requirements and KONGSBERG directives. 
  • Carbon Emissions Reduction – familiar with SBTi methodology, coordinating Kongsberg Maritime Carbon Emissions Reduction project within Supply Chain working closely with Divisions to achieve project objectives.    
  • Process and Procedures – responsible for the Procurement process in Kongsberg Maritime, ensuring compliance with KONGSBERG directives and regulatory requirements and supporting the training and development of procurement teams globally to apply the Procurement process in the Business.  
  • Project management – manage and provide technical leadership for change and transformation programmes for the function, including elements of organisational and structural changes needed to increase procurement effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Tools and methods – Lead the development and deployment of new digital tools and methods including future digital procurement roadmap to increase procurement operational excellence.  
  • Stakeholder Management – Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, to manage priorities effectively. 
  • Risk Management - Deploy, monitor, and execute a robust procurement risk management framework.
     

 Key Experiences and any Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in supply chain, sustainability & ESG, engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in Procurement
  • Proven experience in Sustainability & ESG area
  • Understands procurement processes, systems, and data architecture
  • Project management experience
  • Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures, and ways of working
  • Knowledge of issues related to decarbonization and carbon footprint measurement
  • Good understanding of modern procurement digital tools and methods
  • Good collaboration, team working and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical way of thinking and problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
  • Good written and oral English skills
