Subsea Engineer – Advanced Marine Operations

The Advanced Marine Operations (AMO) department has over 30 years’ experience in projects related to risers and umbilicals in offshore applications from drilling to production units and is in continuous search of innovation and improvement of analysis methods and advisory and monitoring systems for the Oil & Gas industry.

On the drilling side we have experience with the structural analysis of the tally and interfaces with the vessel and the wellhead and we also offer the most up to date real time advisory and monitoring systems for drilling risers including VIV detection and well head fatigue.

On the production side, we are involved on the large development from the operators in Brazil with contributions from concept to FEED and Design phases for green fields. AMO is also supporting multiple brown fields with integrity management of risers and umbilicals throughout their life cycle including offshore testing, extreme and fatigue analysis and online monitoring.

Our current focus includes the continuous improvement of the simulation models for higher fidelity results and the application of field monitoring and Artificial Intelligence methods to boost the realism and level of conscience on the results.

We are a multidisciplinary team and search for candidates with some experience on numerical simulations, data analytics or implementation of instrumentation projects with a great ambition to make good sense of theory applied to real life problems of this industry.

The current work regime is hybrid (office / home office) with possibilities of offshore work for some of the projects.


Qualifications / Skills:

We are looking for candidates with some experience on some of the topics below:

• Programing languages as Python, C++, VB, or other.
• Numerical Simulations as Orcaflex, Ansys, Abaqus or other.
• Instrumentation/Automation projects with PLCs, LabView or other.
• Machine Learning Applications on physics and engineering.
• 3D modeling with Inventor, Solid Works, or other.

Tasks:

• Participate on multiple types of projects with high commitment level
• Work as a great team player sharing knowledge and learning from others
• Be available for offshore work and national/international trips when requested

General:

The position reports directly to the local Engineering Manager.
