An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Buyer to join Kongsberg Maritime’s Propulsion & Handling Division, focusing on Waterjets. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies aligned with waterjet product strategies. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with KONGSBERG’s global cost management, quality, and delivery guidelines.

Key accountabilities

• Drive supplier agreements and product sourcing strategies.
• Manage material cost optimization for Waterjet products.
• Develop strong collaborations with global suppliers and partners.
• Contribute to operational procurement tasks when needed.

We are looking for a proactive and collaborative procurement professional with a strategic mindset and strong supplier management skills.

Qualifications

• Technical education or work experience in international business and trading is required
• Business and Commercial acumen, energy and drive for results
• Good collaboration and communication skills, structured mindset
• Ability to work efficiently and in an organized manner / people management experience
• Readiness to travel
